This carrying case began life as a special from The World of Motecristo Relief Organization. It originally held three cigars in its unusual side-opening streamlined body. I added rare earth magnets embedded in the ends to provide secure closure and finished the exterior with several coats of polyurethane varnish hand-rubbed with 0000 steel wool.
The interior is designed to keep the pens separated from one another and to provide only soft surfaces for them to touch. It is done with a combination of vacuum-formed pen cradles and dark red microfibre suede cloth lining.
Sadly, I don’t expect ever to see another box like this one, but if you have a box that would make a good carrying case for your pens, please do contact me to see how I might be able to transform it for you.
The center pen in the pictures below is a Montblanc 149, so this little case will hold almost any pen.
