SOLD in Minutes: Something New! A Five Pen Desktop Box or Carry Case

Box interior

Here’s a box I just completed.  It is by Selecion Belicosos and is a very well made small box with individual wooden dividers.  It is suitable for use as a desktop box for your current rotation of pens or a carry case to drop into your bag or backpack.

This box measures just 7 inches by 5 3/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches and closes with a secure latch.  Inside, it features five individual pen compartments measuring 6 1/4 inches by 3/4 inch – large enough for almost any pen.

I have stained the wood with Minwax Red Mahogany, then applied multiple coats of Minwax Satin Polyurethane varnish, hand-rubbed after each coat with 0000 steel wool for a very smooth finish.

The pen compartments and the inside of the box lid are lined with burgundy microsuede cloth, so the pens will never touch wood, no matter what position the box is in.  The dividers nearly touch the inside of the lid when closed, so the pens can’t shift out of their individual compartment.

The photos show the top and bottom of the box, both stained and finished, and I propose to leave it this way if it is to be used as a carry case.  If you plan to use it only as a desktop box, then I will add a layer of 2mm foam to the bottom for a non-marring, non-slip finish at no extra cost.

To give you an idea of the pens this box will hold, right to left are:

Schrade Tactical Fountain Pen, Waterman Phileas, Esterbrook J, Montblanc 149, and Lamy Safari.  The pens are not included with the box.

The Selecion Belicosos is priced at $35 plus shipping. SOLD If you are interested, please click here to email me for a shipping cost quote or to ask questions.
