SOLD: Picture this beautiful pen box on Your desk!

Churchill Robusto open with pensI’ve been repurposing the Davidoff Winston Churchill series of cigar boxes into beautiful and functional pen boxes.  This particular box, the Robusto, is the smallest of the series, and perfect for a desktop box.

The gleaming white exterior, punctuated with a gold profile of Winston Churchill, needed no improvement.  Inside, I worked with a bare canvas – bare unfinished wood – where I decided to implement a pen box with an auxiliary compartment for small items that clutter one’s desk.

The bare wood was first sanded smooth, varnished with polyurethane varnish, and then smoothed again with 0000 steel wool.  I fitted a movable divider between the pen and auxiliary compartments and six saddle style pen slots, and lined all surfaces with gold velour to provide a soft surface for the pens.

The result is a compact box, just 9 1/4 inches by 6 1/4 inches by 2 inches, with capacity for six pens up to six inches long (or longer if you reposition the movable divider) and a compartment for small items that measures 5 1/2 inches by 2 3/4 inches.

The Winston Churchill Robusto is priced at $40 plus actual mailing cost. SOLD If you are interested, please email me at and be sure to include your location or ZIP Code for a mailing cost quote.

I accept payment by PayPal, or if you prefer, I can email an invoice which you can pay securely with a credit or debit card.

I mail by USPS Priority Mail in the US and by USPS International First Class Package internationally.
