SOLD: A Charming Eight Pen Box – Carrillo Edition Inaugural 2009

Carrillo Edition Inaugural 2009 closedThis is only the second third box of this type that I’ve encountered in five years of repurposing cigar boxes into pen boxes.  It seems to me that the folks at EP Carrillo Cigars really try extra hard to create beautiful boxes to showcase their cigars, which then yields a showcase for your pens when I’ve done my work.

The Carrillo Edition Inaugural 2009 is a compact box with a two-toned sculpted lid.  Inside, I’ve stained the formerly unfinished wood, then finished it with Minwax polyurethane satin varnish.  The gold ribbons were added to prevent the lid from opening too far.  I chose a tan pen tray to maintain the multi-tones of brown.

The pen tray has eight individual velour-flocked compartments.

PLEASE NOTE: The maximum pen length is 5 1/4 inches.

The box measures 9 inches by 6 1/2 inches by 1 3/4 inches and I’ve added a 2mm thick foam pad on the bottom to prevent sliding or scratching your surfaces.

NOTE: The box pictured here was sold, but I have an identical box which I have not yet worked on.  It can be finished similarly to this box, but you would have your choice of pen tray color: Beige (pictured), Black, Red, Burgundy, or Hunter Green.

The Carrillo Edition Inaugural 2009 Eight Pen Box is priced at $40 plus shipping. SOLD If you are interested, please email me at BamaPen@jehubbard.com and include your ZIP Code or location for a mailing cost quote.

I accept payment by PayPal or if you prefer I can email an invoice which you can pay securely with a credit or debit card.

I mail by USPS Priority Mail in the US and by USPS International First Class Package outside the US.
