This box is typical of those sold by Penn State Industries and other suppliers of materials to pen turners. It is rosewood colored (actual wood unknown) and measures 6 3/4″ long by 2 1/8″ wide by 7/8″ thick with rounded ends, sides, and corners. It is fitted with nice hidden hinges and would give outstanding protection as a carrying case for two pens.
Inside there are two routed pen slots, each 5 7/8″ long and just over 1/2″ diameter. The interior is finished exactly the same as the exterior.
This type of box is sold with no lining in the pen slots. I acquired this one in a lot of pen-related items but I do not like for my pens to rest directly on wood, so I lined the slots with soft burgundy felt for protection.
Because of the diameter of the slots, this carrying case will not handle large diameter pens, but it will accommodate the vast majority. The pens pictured are two Sheaffer pens from the 1940s, a Lifetime Triumph and a Lifetime Vigilant (military clip) and as you can see, they fit nicely.
The Two Pen Carrying Case with added soft felt lining is priced at just
$17.50 plus actual mailing cost. SOLD If you are interested, please email me at BamaPen@jehubbard.com and include your location or ZIP Code for a firm mailing cost quote.
I mail by Priority Mail in the USA and by International First Class Package outside the USA. I accept payment by PayPal or, if you request it, I can email an invoice which you can pay with a credit card.
