I have a substantial inventory of cigar boxes in my workshop – more than I can possibly repurpose into pen boxes in a short time.  So, I have picked out several boxes that I believe will be interesting and am posting them all here so that you can see what is coming soon.

If you see a box that interests you, please click here to email me and include your location or ZIP code so that I can work out finishing details with you and give you a total cost including shipping.  Once we have agreed on the details, I will add you right after the half-dozen boxes currently in the queue.

All the boxes are pictured in the gallery below.  Please click on any image to enlarge it for view.

  • Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial: measures 9 1/2″ by 8″ by 3″ and will hold 8 pens.  I have added two pictures of a previous box of this same type.  It was stained on the inside and lined with a rich gold patterned suede cloth.  $75 plus shipping.
  • Eiroa: measures 8 1/2″ by 6″ by 2 1/2″ and will hold 5 pens.  Could be double decked to hold 10 pens.  $35 single decked, $45 double decked, plus shipping. SOLD

SOLD: An Interesting Six Pen Box for Your Desk

Gurkha Royal Challenge closedThis is a Royal Challenge by Gurkha Cigars that I have repurposed as a six pen desktop case.  The box is covered with leather-look vinyl and features a large pushbutton latch.

Inside I have lined the box with black suede cloth and fitted six pen slots, each lined with the same black material.  As you can see in the pictures, it handles pens up to the size of a Montblanc 149 with ease.

Inside the lid is a rather busy bit of artwork by Gurkha that you may either love or hate.  If you like the box but hate that artwork, I will gladly replace it with something more to your liking at no additional charge.

The box measures 8 inches by 5 1/2 inches by 3 inches and has a velvety covering on the bottom.

The Gurkha Royal Challenge is priced at just $35 plus shippingSOLD If you are interested, please email me and include your location so that I can provide a shipping cost quote.

Gurkha Ninja Churchill – SOLD

This is the mate to the Gurkha Viper posted separately on this blog.  Finished in the same Minwax “Gunstock” stain and hand-rubbed varnish, it is a great matching piece to hold your bottled ink (not those Noodler’s bottles, though, as they are too tall).

The Churchill measures 7″ by 4″ by 3 1/4″ inside and, as the pictures clearly show, can hold about eight bottles of ink.  In my pictures are four Private Reserve, two J. Herbin, and one Montblanc.

The double-decked Viper holds ten fountain pens.

Separately, these boxes are priced at $25 for the Viper and $20 for the Ninja (plus shipping), but as a package, they are priced at $40 plus shippingSOLD

If you are interested, please email me with your location for a shipping quote.

Gurkha Viper – Double Decked Pen Storage in a Small Space

This box is just right to hold your current rotation of pens right on your desktop.  It measures only 7″ by 4 1/2″ by 2 1/4″, yet holds ten of your largest pens in velvety individual slots.

The box, originally unfinished  wood, is stained with MinWax “Gunstock” stain, then varnished with three coats of MinWax polyurethane varnish.  I hand-rub each coat with 0000 steel wool for a smooth, satin finish.

In the pictures below, the pen second from the right is a Montblanc 149, so you can see that it will easily accomodate almost any pen.

As with all my boxes, the bottom is covered with a soft foam pad to prevent sliding or scratching.

This pretty little box is priced at $25, plus shipping. SOLD  If you are interested, please email me and include your location so that I can quote shipping cost.

Soon I will be posting a matching Gurkha “Ninja” box for bottled ink.
