Here’s a pair of matched boxes, one for ten of your pens and one for your ink bottles. Repurposed from Jaime Garcia boxes, these are very nicely made, with finger jointed corners.
I’ve added lid stop ribbons to the pen box to prevent its lid from opening too far (that was not necessary for the ink box), and varnished the interior wood surfaces with Minwax polyurethane varnish. I chose some beautiful green microsuede fabric to line both boxes.
I used a different sort of pen rest in this box, made of scalloped wood, lined with the same green microsuede. Each pen is safely held separate from its neighbors and only touches the microsuede lining.
The pen box measure 9 1/4 inches by 7 inches by 2 1/4 inches and each of the ten pens can measure up to 6 1/8 inches long. My MB 149 fits with room to spare.
The ink box measures 8 inches by 6 3/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches. The interior measures 7 1/4 inches by 6 inches by 3 1/4 inches – not quite deep enough for Noodler’s bottles, but plenty deep for most others. To figure out how many of your bottles will fit, please lay out a 7 1/4 x 6 inch area and arrange them in it.
The Jaime Garcia pen and ink pair, holding ten pens plus your ink, is priced at $60 plus shipping. SOLD If you are interested, please email me at BamaPen@jehubbard.com and include your location or ZIP Code for a mailing cost quote.
